Taken in Kauai on 12.20.08 Â  As I gaze into the sunset of 2008, I see the variety of colors that made it beautiful. Being in Thailand for the first half of the year was one of the best times of my life. Teaching fun students with Malia, working with slum children, helping at the church, and being part of the Thai culture. Leaving Thailand was one of the hardest things we have ever done but knew it was God's plan as we had our first baby in Hawaii in August. Baby Mika has changed our lives and has helped me break down my selfishness as I must exercise giving daily. All summer I prayed and looked for jobs and God finally answered my prayers in giving me the perfect job as a graphic designer and working in video production for the DOE school office at the TV station. I was even given a second job as a photographer as I turned my hobby into a profession. God has been good to me in 2008, even when I doubted...2008's events strengthened my faith. |
