Learning, Sharing, Growing PDF Print E-mail

On March 22, we were privileged to share our passion for missions with Mililani Community Church. What an amazing experience! I’m realizing more how sharing with others enhances your own perspective, your own vision.

In the classroom, I knew that to teach something, I needed to know it completely. How can you teach anything without full knowledge yourself? The same applies to sharing about our own worldview and purposes. While preparing for our time with MCC, we had to organize our thoughts and practice relaying them in order to capture our overseas experiences and lessons in an hour time slot. The preparation and rehearsal just enlarged my heart for mission work and deepened my gratitude to the Lord for our new opportunity in Korea.

Last week at our church, Faith Christian Fellowship, Pastor James said in order to continue in the process of learning, you need to teach. It’s not enough just to soak in as much as you can. Take in truth, meditate on it, and teach it to someone else. This way, you are enriched by study and blessing others by sharing. We should all have this outlet, this influence—and thereby further our own growth while proclaiming the unchanging majesty of God.
