We love mail! A friendly word from someone goes a long way in refreshing our spirits. Please feel free to email, snail mail, or call (but remember the time difference) to tell us how you’re doing. Our website does provide regular updates, but we’d be thrilled to connect with you personally. Also, on the right, please sign up to receive our newsletters. Uplift
As soldiers, we will face battles, and it’s definitely easier to fight against the “rulers of the darkness of this world” as a team. If you would like to join us in spiritual accountability, please let us know. We can pray for each other: sharing requests and praises. We know God moves mountains through faith (Matthew 17:20) and that the “effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much” (James 5:16b). GiveIf you would like to be involved in the physical, day-to-day work of our ministry, please consider what you can give: time, possessions, funds, etc. If God tells you to donate items to His work here in Korea, we will gladly find the best place to put it to use in our ministry. Also, as needs arise, we may post them on this website to make you aware. If you or a group from your church would like to come to Seoul and meet up with our mission, please let us know.
Lastly, if you feel so led to give monetarily to our ministry, we would be blessed and grateful beyond words. We believe that missionaries should work in the field; Mark has a full-time teaching ministry, and Malia tutors, writes, and edits at home. However, because of the expensive standard of living and minimal salary at the Christian school, we do not have enough to “make it” each month. Our school strongly encourages its teachers to raise support through its overseeing organization. When people give towards missions, they become part of the work and therefore part of the blessing.
As we are preparing to move to Korea, we are trusting that God will provide the needed $4,500 through one-time gifts from various individuals that will be used to pay for the transit and settling-in costs. In terms of monthly support while living in Korea, the goals is to raise a total of $650 per month which will help pay for housing fees, language courses, and food while we are ministering in Seoul. It is difficult for us to trust that God will provide the funds through this difficult time where churches and individuals rarely have extra money to contribute towards missions but if for some crazy reason you would like to be involved, we hope to have a personal connection with you to keep ourselves accountable as well as to ensure that you receive a blessing from knowing how your donation contributes to God’s work here. How to Give Since 2005, we have been part of Ripe for Harvest, a nondenominational mission-sending agency associated with International Church Mission. Besides us, they work with missionaries in 25 countries around the world. Their mission is based on John 4:35 where Jesus said to the disciples "...open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest."

To help fund our ministry efforts overseas, Mark utilized his design experience and skills to start Modern Mango, a home studio that offers photography, graphic design, and website publishing.
